acupuncture is a technique in which needles are used to pierce acupuncture points to gain balance of yin and yang to cure diseases.

There are 12 regular channels and 8 extra channels.

Each of the twelve paired channels relates to one of the twelve internal organs. Thre fore there are six yin channels and six yang channels.Of the 8 extrordinary channels tworunon the midline one infront other in back.

Sun is the originator of all yang energy and earth is originator of all yin energy.
